The Courtroom has appropriate support functions and is designed to also function as a public meeting space. The Court Clerk has offices adjacent to the courtroom. The facility is located immediately adjacent to the existing police station. Locker rooms, evidence storage, and a forensic lab are provided for the Police Department. The jail provides housing for 24 prisoners. The building is designed to allow expansion of the jail and to add an additional courtroom and/or office space. It is designed to convey the stature of a public court and to house prisoners without appearing as a typical jail. The building is concrete and masonry to provide a durable, easily maintained facility.
